Spring In Step, Never Mind Rain

THE spring sun may have failed to materialise, but there will still be a spring in the step of those at the Spring into Corrimal Ball tonight.

Event manager Claire Roberts said they would still celebrate the flower-filled month.

"We just have to use our imagination," Ms Roberts said. "And we know that the good weather is just around the corner."

The ball will be held at the Corrimal RSL Club, but Ms Roberts said they had yet to find a beneficiary for the night's fundraising.

Last year's funds went to the area's three surf lifesaving clubs. The ball signals the beginning of the festival season in Corrimal, with the Spring into Corrimal grand parade and market stalls next weekend.

"Apart from the fact that it is spring, which is always a nice feeling for everybody, Spring into Corrimal is a nice come-together for all the community and it's just a very light-hearted, celebratory day," Ms Roberts said.
